Domino’s Food Trucks
Global pizza franchise, Domino’s Pizza, are enabling their franchise partners to hit the road with a fleet of Domino’s food trucks going mobile across Australia and New Zealand, taking delicious pizza to areas previously without a Domino’s option.
Bella Manufacturing’s internal design and CAD team have worked closely with the amazing team from Domino’s to design a custom pizza kitchen. An 8m commercial kitchen box using 50mm insulated fire resistant Xflam panelling has been built on a Fuso truck. This customisation has enabled each truck to be fitted out with specific equipment so it can operate with the same or better capacity as a bricks and mortar pizza store does.
A service line approach has been applied to the design, making this mobile commercial kitchen flow efficiently within the space – from pizza base prep right through to cutting a piping hot pizza and sharing immediately with hungry customers. Custom bulkhead solutions have been added to facilitate pizza box storage, a roof mounted air conditioning system has been included to keep team members comfortable whilst working. The custom-made signage has been installed to draw attention and showcase this amazing mobile pizza kitchen.
An additional feature includes an external access delivery driver window on the side of the truck. A warming cabinet inside the window keeps pizzas warm and a sliding door from outside makes them easily accessible for drivers and delivery partners to pick up orders. This keeps the number of team members inside the kitchen to a minimum and allows pizzas to be stored and delivered quickly and easily.
As with all Bella builds, these trucks are built as commercial kitchens which include Australian stainless-steel benching and sinks food grade walls and flooring, commercial electrical and gas installation, CAD plans for council permits and are designed to comply with Australian and New Zealand standards.
