ISS and Oz Minerals Mine Site Food Truck
ISS is a global organisation providing workplace facility services including catering, cleaning, technical support, office support services and more. They operate in a range of industries including Energy and Resources, Healthcare, Education, Business and Industry and more.
One of their clients is Oz Minerals, a mining company based in South Australia with six gold and copper open pit and underground mining operations in Australia and Brazil.
ISS engaged Bella Manufacturing to build this impressive 6-metre commercial truck kitchen to service one of the South Australian Oz Minerals sites. Designed and built to mine specification standards covering safety, function and performance whilst on mining property, the rear kitchen pod is robust and built from quality Australian steel.
This food truck has been custom fitted with heavy-duty, corrosion resistant equipment including a flat plate and griddle with stainless steel burners and a matt black cast-iron grill offering up to 4 years nationwide warranty.
A space-saving Culinaire combi steam oven with pre-set cooking programs, adjustable fan speeds and six trays which comes with a 24-month warranty.
Additional equipment includes a salamander, chip warmer, deep fryer, benchtop heated bain marie and commercial microwave. The kitchen design has allowed for under bench fridge and freezer units with stainless steel interiors and exteriors that are excellent for even the hottest environments and operations. A two-door prep fridge with marble prep area and stainless-steel top has also been fitted.
Wall shelving and custom bulkhead storage have been designed with daily operations in mind and the range of equipment installed brings flexibility and variety to the food that is able to be prepared and served from this food truck.
Outside, a 5-metre motorised and fully retractable roof-mounted awning offers protection from the elements. The awning is made from a polyester fabric with five layers of coating – UV, colour-fast, waterproof and two layers of PU. The lift up servery window also serves as protection from sun and rain when being served.
Oz Minerals are dedicated to creating trusted, respectful partnerships with traditional owners and surrounding communities and the eye-catching wrap offers a nod to the traditional owners of the land.
Bella Manufacturing were delighted to work with ISS again on this project, producing a high quality walk-in food truck that has been built to last in the harsh environment that is outback Australia.
