Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation Smoko Truck
Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation is an organisation dedicated to improving the wellbeing of the Aboriginal people in Tennant Creek and the Barkly region – an area with the fourth highest concentration of Indigenous people in the country. They work to enhance employment, resilience and self-reliance through training, programs and services. This custom-built smoko truck is an extension of the already existing Jajjikari Cafe and will travel to town camps around the region to continue the organisation’s commitment to training Indigenous Australians in the hospitality industry.
The truck has three large lift-up doors and and a large workbench area for display or preparation. The Australian steel tray has been mounted on a cab chassis truck with canopy made from 50mm lightweight cool room panelling. Equipment includes the Bella coffee set up, which has been put together to provide top of the range equipment and also suit low wattage battery or generator systems; an energy saving 3-door alfresco fridge; and a large food warmer with 200-pie capacity that suits standard size bakers trays.
Internal lighting has been installed for evening operation and our standard inclusions for mobile commercial kitchen specifications including approved and certified independent gas and electrical installation. As with all Bella mobile units, this smoko truck has been designed to comply with ANZFSA 3.2.3 (food premise design) and CAD plans supplied for council permits and applications.
