Manngoor Dja Mobile Medical Clinic
Manngoor Dja (pronounced Mun-gore-jar) Aboriginal Health Services work to create a pathway to better health by providing health services through the Mob Pod to the regional and remote towns of the Gympie and Noosa Outreach areas.
Bella Manufacturing were delighted to work with the team to create a custom 5-metre Mob Pod made from Australian steel, 50mm cool room panel and R-9 commercial vinyl flooring. It’s designed for rear entry via the stairs and also includes a wheelchair elevation platform.
The interior is air conditioned and Starlink fitted, and comprises
- a desk and cabinets to serve as a work station for health professionals,
- a retractable medical grade privacy screen
- a doctor’s consulting table with wall mounted tele-health computer screen
Outside are roof mounted solar panels and a motorised awning for shade, with ample external storage for equipment such as chairs and tables.
The mobile medical clinic was designed to align with the Manngoor Dja mission to provide culturally appropriate health care services that are accessible across a 7000sq kilometre region. The Mob Pod capably does the job, able to move about among communities as required to meet the needs of this priority population.
